Children's University Graduation 2017

19/10/2017

The Children’s University is a critically-acclaimed charity which encourages all children aged 5 to 14 years to try new experiences, develop new interests and acquire new skills through participation in innovative and creative Learning Activities outside of the school day. Learning Activities are designed to:

raise aspiration, self-esteem & confidence
encourage curiosity and a love of learning
enhance motivation and build resilience
introduce new life experiences
offer progression in learning and personal skills development
At St Andrews we have had 2 very successful years as a member of the Children's University. All our pupils in school have been taking part in activities and earning lots of credits for the Children’s University.  Our children are an inspiration, continuing to aim high and reaching their goals. More children this year have added credits for visiting lots of external learning destinations like museums and exhibitions and being part of local sports clubs. We are extremely proud of all our graduates and it is an honour to celebrate with them every year.  These varied experiences help to enhance our children’s school experience and gives them all the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge.
