Hello St Andrew's Community
This week we are going to be taking on the #CaptainTom100 challenge. Each class will be taking on a challenge including the number 100 - we have linked challenge with our assembly theme of resilience.
By Friday 30th April we will have completed the following :
EYFS - completing 100 exercises at different stations
Year 1 - reading for 100 minutes across the week
Year 2 - 100 compliments at home and school
Year 3 - passing and catching a ball 100 times
Year 4 - scoring 100 goals
Year 5 - 100 random acts of kindness
Year 6 - keeping silent for 100 minutes throughout the week!
We ask that you sponsor our children in this challenge and the money we make will be going to The Captain Tom Foundation (search #captaintom100challenge to find out more) which champions mental health and education for young people. Our very talented school cleaner Bree Hughes has painted our entrance hall.
The children and staff had a wonderful time at St Andrew's church for their Christingle service.
We had a Christmas Jumper day last week and raised £125 for Woodstreet Missions.
Bishop Mark visited St Andrew's today to deliver some arts and crafts activities around the first special Christmas journey, 'Follow The Star'
